Coping with Sickness in Pregnancy explains why sickness occurs, and gives no-nonsense advice on how to deal with it. Suggestions for changes to your diet and lifestyle are combined with information on a range of self-help strategies including acupressure wristbands, homeopathic remedies and advice on finding a complementary practitioner, such as a reflexologist, herbal practitioner or hypnotherapist. There is also an explanation of what happens when sickness is so severe that you are admitted to hospital. There are links to useful resources, as well as further reading and professional references.
What to do if Your Baby is Breech explores the reasons why some babies settle in the breech (bottom first) position and the advantages and disadvantages of the options you may have been offered by your obstetrician, including vaginal breech birth, turning the baby (ECV) and Caesarean section. Natural methods of trying to turn your baby include the Chinese technique of moxibustion, homeopathic remedies and yoga positions. The pros and cons of all of these and more are covered, as well as how to use complementary therapies in the event that a Caesarean is inevitable. There are links to useful resources, further reading and professional references.
