New Courses beginning September & October
Expectancy's brand new course for aspiring midwives is due to begin on 8th October in London. It aims to give students an overview of the work of midwives and an introduction to pregnancy and childbirth, in preparation for interviews for midwifery training.
On top of that, our Diploma in Integrated Therapies for Childbirth course for midwives, approved by the University of Greenwich, is due to start this month (September). It aims to prepare midwives to use a range of complementary therapies for expectant mothers.
Expectancy is working with several NHS trusts, running in-house courses for midwives on aromatherapy, reflexology, hypnosis etc in pregnancy. Many maternity units and birthing centres now incorporate complementary therapies into the care that is offered to expectant mothers
Expectancy Clinic @ Maidstone Birth Centre
Expectancy will be starting a complementary therapies clinic for expectant mums at the new Birth Centre at Maidstone Hospital in October from 1800-2100 hours.
